Thomas Jonke began his professional Information Technology career working at international giant, Molex, Inc., based in Lisle, Illinois. Over his 12 years working for Molex, Tom frequently served as Team Lead for implementing new IT solutions across the corporation's multiple business divisions. Tom managed the installation of 28 IT infrastructures in the United States, Canada, Mexico, and Puerto Rico. These infrastructures comprised a mixed environment requiring the support of Microsoft servers, Novell servers, and Cisco switches. Tom moved on to work at a subsidiary of Wight Construction called Terabyte. During his 5 years there, he expanded his knowledge of designing, implementing, and supporting IT infrastructures. At Terabyte, his main focus was the education market by assisting school districts with stabilizing their IT infrastructure and upgrading to the latest technologies.
Tom started his career at Equilibrium as a Senior Systems Engineer in January, 2006. While moving up through the ranks, he was quickly promoted to Senior Architect & Consultant. Tom took over the Managing Consultant position in January, 2008, and was responsible for managing 12 engineers. He promptly moved to Manager of Service Offerings (a CTO-like position) and most recently Tom has served in a business development capacity as a Senior Consultant/Account Executive. He has earned several professional IT certifications over the years including the CNE, CCNA, VCP, VTSP, and Network +.
Tom has helped lead the creation of some of Equilibrium's current service offerings. These include but are not limited to: Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEA), Disaster Recovery Procedures, and Password Change Policy. Tom realized that Equilibrium's engineering practices and consulting methodology are a valuable and rare commodity in the IT industry. Equilibrium has demonstrated this in these tough economic times by growing in a market where others have failed.
In Tom's free time, he enjoys working on his 1938 Chevy pick-up truck, making improvements on his home in Yorkville, Illinois, and tinkering with 19th century pocket watches.
