Situation: Berwyn North School District #98 was experiencing problems on their network which the existing service provider could not resolve. Berwyn North needed an outside objective view of their network from a company that did not resell services, hardware or software.
Strategic Approach:
An IT Business Plan was conducted that produced a 3-5 year strategic IT Business Plan for the district. The IT Business Plan prioritized and addressed short and long term infrastructure goals to determine the most appropriate way forward for the organization while reducing costs.
IT Services Program to develop and support the district’s environment throughout the school year. The IT Services program helps the district make incremental progress on the overall goals of the district.
Best Practice Administration (BPA) ensures systems are maintained properly by ensuring that routine maintenance is completed on a regular and timely basis.
Results: Berwyn North School District #98 is now executing a strategic IT Infrastructure plan that aligns with the overall goals of the district. Systems are now in place that are stable and more reliable. Equilibrium’s work with the district has allowed Berwyn North School District #98 to better utilize funding sources and reprioritize internal resources to work nearly exclusively on Student Information Systems and Instructional Technology initiatives. The teachers and administration are now able to concentrate on what is important to them…the children!
